Description
Carnotaurus sastrei skull.
Not much new to say about one of the most iconic dinosaurs of all times. The Carnotaurus was an amazing creature that fascinates us all, grown-ups and kids alike.
Carnotaurus was a large theropod dinosaur of the Late Cretaceous. The name means "meat-eating bull", alluding to its bull-like horns.
Carnotaurus was a lightly built, bipedal predator, of about 26 to 30 ft and at least 1.35 tons. It had thick horns above the eyes, a feature unseen in any other carnivorous dinosaur, and a very deep skull sitting on a muscular neck. Carnotaurus was further characterized by small, vestigial forelimbs and long and slender hind-limbs.
