Description
Casa Batllo at night, by Antoni Gaudi.
The Batllo House (casa Batllo), also known as the house of the bones (look at the columns of the big windows on the lower stories), is one of the most renowned buildings from the incomparable architect Antoni Gaudi. It is a masterly remodeling of an existing house, full of color and irregular shapes. The balconies, the color tiles on the facade, the great windows of the lover stories... difficult to focus ones attention on a single peculiar feature of this piece of architecture turned into magic.
However, as it happens with La Pedrera, I envy the people of the time who could walk to it and just look, or the people who enjoyed living in it. I seldom take more than a quick peep when I pass by during daytime. The building is just too beautiful, too successful and is always surrounded by a swarm of tourists. That's why I like to visit it at night.
This is an HDR photograph created from five different shots, so you can see some details of the inside through the windows.
There is a digital pastel of a fragment here:

A magnificent, beautiful, magic and inspiring work of art. I will return another night.
