Description
Eiffel Tower at dusk. Paris, France. Full Image.
Night falls at Le Tour Eiffel by the Seine river.
The Eiffel Tower was constructed to be the entrance to the 1889 World's Fair. Initially criticized, the French called it "the scaffolding", the Eiffel Tower became one of the most recognizable buildings in the planet and is nowadays the most-visited paid monument in the world.
As for Paris... what can one say about the City of Light that has not already been said...?
