Description
The redhead (Aythya americana) is a diving duck that lives mainly in western USA.
This beautiful specimen was just laying there, resting with its beak hidden under the wing feathers. When I got closer it just opened its eye and looked at me. I did not dare get any closer, lest it would fly away. So many different feathers.
