Detail of Bison 17, as numbered by Abbot Breuil in 1910. The famous cave in Les Eyzies is one of the first ever found and its walls are rich in paintings from the Magdalenian era. Unfortunately, many of the fine images have been all but lost due to both natural and human influence. The ones remaining, however, are quite unique in their beauty.

Located in the heart of the Dordogne, this is one of the few caves that can still be visited.
