Description
Rue de l'Abreuvoir at dusk. Montmartre, Paris.
This sloppy street in Montmartre that ends in the Maison Rose with the Sacre Coeur behind is considered one of the ten most beautiful streets in France. I cannot vouch for that but it is one of the nicest I've seen.
Montmartre, the Mount of the Martyr, is the bohemian heart of Paris, full of ateliers, art shops... and slopes. It was an independent village, the granary and vineyard of the City of Light, until the arrival of the industrial revolution.
As for Paris... what can one say about the City of Light that has not already been said...?
