This is the picture of actual and working German WW2 Panzer IV and Tiger I tanks, shot in France. The background is a map of Normandy.
The Panzer IV was a German medium tank used extensively during the Second World War. Designed for infantry support, it was not originally intended to engage enemy armor. However, in the face of Soviet T-34 tanks, the Panzer IV soon assumed a tank-fighting role. The most widely manufactured and deployed German tank of the Second World War, robust and reliable, it saw service in all combat theaters involving Germany and has the distinction of being the only German tank to remain in continuous production throughout the war.
The Tiger was a German heavy tank developed in 1942 and used in World War II. The official name was Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf.E. It was renamed Tiger I when the bigger Tiger II began production.
