Description
The Spice Bazaar in Istanbul, Turkey. Full image.
Genereral view of the long arm of the Spice Bazaar of Istanbul.
Also known as the Egyptian Bazaar, as the spice sold there came from the Country of the Nile, the Spice Bazaar is the second largest bazaar in Istanbul after the Grand Bazaar.
A short walk away from one another, those two covered markets or medieval malls are very different fromo one another. The Grand Bazar comprises over 80 streets and alleys and forms a village by its own right, while the Spice Bazaar is shaped by two tunneled straight streets forming an L.
ALthough this was originally a space dedicated to the trade of spice, nowadays you can find similar articles to the Grand Bazaar.
