It is difficult not to be utterly impressed by the sheer enormity of Saint Peter's. And that, taking into account that you won't be really aware of its actual size until you see someone between the columns or peeking from the top of the dome. Designed by geniuses of the size of Michelangelo and Bernini, as you get closer, the detail, the marbles, and the quality of the sculptures take the place of the size in overwhelming you. Everything about Saint Peter's is sublime.

A fascinating place for both believers and non believers.
