Sycamore maple autumn leaf.
Once every year in late July, I take my kids to a certain point in a certain mountain and make the same shot. I have been doing it for a while now, a yearly shot time-lapse showing them grow. It is a kind of bitter-sweet project. As I help them grow into little men I lose my kids.
This year we were two weeks late and I was surprised by the first early red maple leaves along the path. They told me what my family time-lapse tells me, nothing lasts forever...
I found this one particularly beautiful.
