Description
The Quays Bar, Dublin. Panoramic crop.
The Quays Bar is situated in the heart of Dublin's famous Temple Bar and it's one of Dublin's liveliest pubs.
The origin of Irish Pubs were the "Public Houses" created for family men and women to relax after work before returning to their normally overcrowded houses. The Public house, quickly shortened to Pub, was the living room they did not have at home to sit, back, relax, enjoy some beer, read the paper, have a nice conversation or play some music.
As generation after generation adopted this custom, Pubs became peculiar bars where people of different ages and status mingled equally in a very particular and harmonious way you won't find elsewhere.
Knowing this, it is not surprising at all, although it is really pleasant, to enter an Irish Pub and to feel at home almost before you grab your first beer.
