Description
The Three Graces by James Pradier, 1831.
The Three Graces sculpted by the Swiss James Pradier in 1831. The Graces were goddesses of beauty in Greek mythology. They are usually depicted nude, standing with arms interlaced and the central figure with her back to the viewer. Pradier turned all three figures in the same direction, as Canova had before him.
The Louvre is probably the biggest museum in the world and, full of universal masterpieces, and built upon through the centuries until it reached its actual magnificence beyond its contents.
As for Paris... what can one say about the City of Light that has not already been said...?
