Description
Girl at Westmoreland Street, Dublin.
Early morning in Dublin, I went for a quick stroll on a beautiful Sunday, before rushing to the plane and back to reality. I could not leave without taking a picture of this beautiful building that happened to be the wax museum at the beginning of the street with my name.
After waiting for a while to clear the traffic off the foreground, the girl entered the frame and stopped there at the traffic light. This is an HDR composition of three different frames, 9 pictures in all, so it took me a little longer than usual and the girl noticed I was aiming at her. Can't say she liked it, but I think she understood the picture was not probably about her.
I tend to shoot empty places but some times I leave a person in the frame to give proportion of the surroundings. It is normally a girl. Me being of the shy kind, I never approach them with the link to my site and tell them to give me a month and then check, but I would have liked to present these girls with a full size copy of their images. I would like that, should I happen to be the unexpected focal point of another photographer's picture. Alas, the traffic light turned green and we diverged forever.
