Gothic bridge in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona, as seen from the north-west east. This wonderful bridge crosses above the Carrer del Bisbe (Bishop Street).

Well, it is actually neo-Gothic. But it is beautiful. In fact, it is one of the landmarks of the old city of Barcelona and I must say I love it, even if adding new parts to old buildings is not something I go for.

I could not help to expect a medieval damsel to cross it demurely at a brisk pace, but alas it didn't happen while I took the pictures.

As it is usual in Barcelona, there is no good day to visit these places. It is always high season in Barcelona and to catch the streets empty is next to impossible. On the other hand, I love Gothic buildings in the dark, with hard lights enhancing the detail with hard shadows, so here you have a night HDR shot of this wonderful passageway.
