Full view of Bernini's Square Staircase in the Palazzo Barberini. This staircase serves the north wing of the palace, and is complemented by Borromini's Oval Staircase on a principle both aesthetic and functional. Accessed from the external portico, Bernini's staircase, which is the biggest of both, was intended for a more public use.
