Description
Temple of Saturn at night. Forum, Rome.
This is the front right corner of the remaining frontispiece of the Temple of Saturn in the Roman Forum. We can also see the Arch of Septimius Severus to the lower left and the Curia in the dark behind.
The Temple of Saturn stands at the foot of the Capitoline Hill at the western end of the Roman Forum. The original temple is believed to be from around 500 BC. The ruins we preserve today belong to the third rebuilding, after a fire in 283 AD.
