Artist's Description
This is a digital oil painting version of an HDR picture I took this September of the Chateau de Chenonceau in the dead of the night, under the moonlight. Fortunately, it is not exactly the picture I wanted. The weather gave me no choice this time and prevented me from making a mistake. After taking a few amazing pictures in the evening (you can find them in my France gallery) I returned to camp and cooked dinner. It was already dark when I was done but I wanted the full moon to rise above the trees, so I read for a while with an iced coffee in my hand and my e-book in the other. It was then when the problems started. The mist began to come in and cover the moon, so I took my stuff and went back to the chateau. It is just a 15 minute walk through the forest and I had done it a couple of hours before, but in complete darkness, the sensations were totally unexpected.
